Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) – RN

The Banyan at Montclair | Omaha, Nebraska
Full-Time | Daily Pay Available

The Banyan at Montclair is seeking an experienced and compassionate Assistant Director of Nursing to join our nursing leadership team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Registered Nurse who enjoys developing staff, improving resident care, and building a positive workplace. The ADON works closely with the Director of Nursing to oversee daily nursing operations and ensure residents receive safe, respectful, and high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Director of Nursing with managing daily nursing operations.

  • Supervise, coach, and support nursing staff on all shifts.

  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and professional communication.

  • Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility requirements.

  • Work with residents, families, physicians, and other departments to address resident needs.

  • Assist with state surveys, investigations, required reporting, and plans of correction.

  • Implement and monitor nursing policies and quality-improvement programs.

  • Support infection prevention and control practices.

  • Respond promptly and professionally to resident, family, and staff concerns.

  • Lead by example and help maintain a positive, resident-centered environment.

Qualifications
  • Active, unencumbered Nebraska Registered Nurse license.

  • At least two years of nursing supervision or management experience.

  • Long-term care or skilled nursing experience required.

  • Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.

  • Knowledge of long-term care regulations and state reporting requirements.

  • Experience developing and implementing plans of correction.

  • Ability to educate and support employees across all shifts.

  • Infection Preventionist training preferred; training may be provided.
