An Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) manages the nursing department in a healthcare institution, such as a hospital or long-term care facility. Their responsibilities include leadership and direction to the nursing department to ensure quality patient care. This includes effective leadership in managing resources, such as clinical practice supervision, human resources, financial planning, and budget management.
