???? Position Overview

The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) partners with the Director of Nursing to oversee the daily operations of the nursing department while promoting clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and outstanding resident care.

This leadership role provides guidance, education, and support to the nursing team while driving quality improvement initiatives throughout the facility.

???? Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Director of Nursing with daily management of the nursing department
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Conduct daily nursing rounds to monitor resident care, identify concerns, and support staff
  • Monitor documentation accuracy and ensure physician and nursing documentation meets regulatory standards
  • Assist with Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives and corrective action plans
  • Complete clinical chart audits, analyze findings, and recommend improvements
  • Follow up daily on resident status changes and ensure timely interventions
  • Promote and monitor infection prevention and control practices
  • Mentor, coach, and support nursing staff to promote professional growth
  • Maintain strong communication with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members
???? What We're Looking For
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • Minimum three years of nursing experience
  • Minimum one year of nursing leadership or supervisory experience
  • Long-term care or geriatric nursing experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal regulatory requirements
  • Experience with quality assurance, chart auditing, and infection prevention
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively lead teams while fostering a positive and collaborative culture
