About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Civil Superintendent to lead field operations on large-scale infrastructure projects throughout New York City. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with deep expertise in heavy civil construction, including foundations, structural systems, and complex site operations.

You will play a critical role in delivering high-profile public works projectsensuring safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives are met while leading field teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.

What You'll Do
  • Oversee daily field operations for large-scale civil construction projects
  • Lead and coordinate crews, subcontractors, and field staff to meet project milestones
  • Ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications
  • Interpret construction drawings, structural details, and geotechnical reports
  • Plan and manage sequencing of critical work activities
  • Monitor productivity, quality, and schedule performance
  • Coordinate with project management, engineers, and client representatives
  • Manage inspections, permits, and compliance with city, state, and federal requirements
  • Identify and resolve field issues, minimizing delays and cost impacts
  • Maintain accurate daily reports and field documentation
What We're Looking For
  • 10+ years of experience as a Superintendent on heavy civil or infrastructure projects
  • Proven experience delivering projects valued at $200M+
  • Strong experience with large general contractors
  • Expertise in Support of Excavation (SOE) systems, including:
    • Secant piles
    • Caissons
    • Soldier pile & lagging
    • Structural bracing systems (walers, struts, rakers)
  • Experience with foundations, concrete, and structural steel construction
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents
  • Proficiency with scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project
  • Experience working with public sector clients (city, state, or federal) preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, HCSS, and Microsoft Office
  • OSHA 30 certification (required); First Aid certification preferred
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorship available)
