Location: Providence, Rhode Island
Schedule: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Work Model: Hybrid (2 days onsite, flexible)
Contract Duration: W2 Contact, 1 year ongoing
Compensation: Up to $36 per hour with benefits
Overview
Epitec is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented PHIG Operations Support Specialist to support a large-scale public health grant initiative. This role will provide operational, administrative, and project coordination support across multiple strategic programs focused on workforce development, foundational capabilities, and data modernization.
The ideal candidate is a strong multitasker who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys coordinating cross-functional projects, and is comfortable managing documentation, reporting, and operational processes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the implementation and administration of a complex, cross-functional grant program supporting multiple divisions and initiatives.
  • Organize, maintain, and manage electronic records and documentation within Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
  • Support purchasing and procurement activities related to grant-funded projects and services.
  • Analyze operational procedures and prepare detailed reports, findings, and recommendations.
  • Coordinate communications and collaboration with project teams and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate workflow and project coordination across multiple strategy areas and programs.
  • Track project milestones, timelines, and deliverables while escalating issues requiring follow-up.
  • Attend meetings, conferences, and leadership discussions; document key decisions, action items, and meeting notes.
  • Provide additional administrative and operational support as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • Completion of at least two years of academic study at an accredited college or university.
  • Experience supporting senior-level government officials or leadership teams with complex administrative and operational functions.
  • Experience assisting with the implementation and administration of large-scale programs, initiatives, or projects affecting multiple departments or agencies.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
