Technical Planner, Global Tech Strategy (Executive Support)

We are currently seeking a candidate for a W2 contract opportunity in Dearborn, MI. This role has the potential to extend over multiple years, with the chance to transition to a direct hire position with our client. In this pivotal Technical Planner role within the Global Tech Strategy (GTS) organization, you will operate in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment that demands technical acumen, flexibility, resilience, and a structured approach to problem-solving. You will be instrumental in enabling our technical leadership to drive strategic initiatives. This role requires outstanding organizational skills, precise communication, and strong interpersonal abilities to navigate complex technical landscapes. You will provide comprehensive operational and strategic planning support to the GTS organization leadership team, empowering them to focus on critical technology roadmaps and innovation priorities. This position involves significant collaboration with core technical teams, including Motion (Powertrain) Tech Strategy, Software & Feature Strategy, Hardware & Commodity Strategy, and TCP, requiring an understanding of their respective technical domains. Your contributions will directly enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our senior technical leaders and the overall GTS organization's ability to execute its technology vision.

  • Executive Partnership & Strategic Support
    • Trusted partner to GTS executives, driving efficient, tech-enabled support.
    • Manage complex scheduling, planning, and communications tied to strategic tech priorities.
    • Coordinate global logistics for seamless collaboration across internal teams and external partners.
    • Align tech strategy with business goals and budget planning through executive forums and initiatives.
  • Operational Excellence & Compliance
    • Maintain organized records and tracking systems for key tech initiatives and engineering processes.
    • Identify and resolve technical/operational roadblocks to boost efficiency.
    • Support compliance: controls testing, BCP management, and DRIM upkeep.
    • Lead internal tech showcases, supplier assessments, and demos.
    • Maintain org charts and global roster files for technical teams and reporting structures.
  • Technical Meetings & Events
    • Lead planning and execution of high-level technical reviews and strategic events.
    • Optimize schedules across engineering leadership to reduce conflicts.
    • Manage all-hands, off-sites, and team meetings with advanced tech setups and follow-through.
    • Capture insights and drive action from executive tech leadership meetings.
  • Technical Communications & Stakeholder Engagement
    • Central liaison across engineering, product, and business ops for consistent leadership support.
    • Create and polish technical documents, presentations, and reports with precision.
    • Administer SharePoint and knowledge repositories for easy access and AI integration.
    • Build strong relationships with stakeholders while maintaining confidentiality.
