Job description

Operations Associate - Compliance

JSF Financial, LLC is seeking candidates for a full-time Associate to support our Chief Compliance Officer. This is a role with a clear path: you'll spend your first three to six months embedded in our Client Service Team, learning how our firm actually runs — brokerage account operations, portfolio accounting and reporting, and the standard processes our advisors and clients rely on every day. From there, you'll transition into a dedicated compliance role, where that operational foundation will make you far more effective at helping the firm meet its regulatory and internal policy obligations.

Whether you are just starting your career or looking to make a shift into finance, this is a rare opportunity to build a foundation in Wealth Management from the inside out. You'll get a 360-degree view of the business before specializing in one of its most important functions.

Here's What You'll Do Day to Day

During your Client Service rotation (first 3–6 months):

  • Work closely with our Client Service Team in supporting Financial Advisors and Clients
  • Support Brokerage Account Operations and our Portfolio Accounting and Reporting Software
  • Compile and review reports daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly
  • Master the firm's processes and documentation practices that compliance work depends on
  • When a helping hand is needed in other departments, quickly jump in and fill any gaps

As you transition into Compliance:

  • Assist the CCO in ensuring firm-wide adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies
  • Review compliance documents, maintain records, and support periodic testing and reporting
  • Help prepare for regulatory filings, audits, and examinations
  • Monitor and document trading, marketing, and client communication activity in line with firm policy
  • Learn and test new compliance software — train employees and educate team members on best practices
  • When things break, get your hands dirty and troubleshoot issues that arise

Here's What Skills and Experience Are Required

  • 1 to 3 years of relevant administrative, operations, or compliance work experience preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy — you'll be reviewing documents where small errors matter
  • Ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects, deliverables, and deadlines
  • Innate desire to learn and develop
  • Intermediate-level skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong track record of seeing delegated projects through to completion
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Here's What You Need to Succeed

  • Proactive, no-job-too-big-or-too-small attitude is critical. If you aren't comfortable rolling your sleeves up and doing the work, this isn't for you.
  • Interest in the Financial Services Industry and in how regulation shapes it
  • Desire to understand the "Why" of the work before knowing the "How" — compliance is about judgment, not just checklists
  • Discretion and integrity — you'll handle sensitive client and firm information
  • Inquisitive personality with a technical background to explore
  • Team player and always willing to offer help to others
