Job description

This is not an active job opening at this time. We are looking to connect with qualified Pharmacy Technicians who may be considered for future opportunities at Private Medical, a private concierge medicine practice focused on primary care. By submitting your resume, you are expressing interest in being contacted about potential opportunities that align with your background and experience.

About Us:

Private Medical has spent the last 20 years creating a new category of concierge medicine — private medicine — by designing a system that honors the relationship between patients, physicians, and every member of the care team.

Our physician-led teams in California, New York, and Florida work closely with gynecology, naturopathic medicine, curated local specialists, elite medical centers, and specialists around the world to provide relationship-focused, evidence-based, longitudinal care to our members and their families.

Privately held and free from conflicts of interest, Private Medical is designed around delivering exceptional care and an elevated experience for both patients and the teams who care for them.

Pharmacy Technicians play an important role in our Physician Dispensing Program, helping make medication management a seamless part of the member experience.

As future opportunities become available, Pharmacy Technicians may support physicians, nurses, and clinical teams by preparing and providing prescriptions under physician direction, coordinating medication-related workflows, and managing the operational and administrative details that keep our dispensing program running smoothly.

We’re interested in connecting with Pharmacy Technicians who are detail-oriented, reliable, highly organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities without compromising accuracy or discretion.

Private Medical is also a highly technology-driven organization. Our teams use Apple computers and macOS alongside a robust suite of digital platforms and systems. Successful candidates should be comfortable learning new technology and navigating systems such as EHRs, Salesforce, inventory management platforms, spreadsheets, and other clinical and operational tools.

Depending on the needs of future opportunities, responsibilities may include:

  • Prepare and label prescriptions under physician direction
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to manage and submit medication prior authorizations
  • Oversee pharmaceutical inventory, including ordering, stocking, labeling, and proper disposal
  • Receive and verify medication shipments and maintain accurate inventory records
  • Monitor and manage expired and recalled medications
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with pharmaceutical and other vendors
  • Provide responsive, professional service to members
  • Maintain accurate data across multiple platforms, including EHR, Salesforce, inventory systems, spreadsheets, and other technology platforms
  • Complete administrative tasks related to medication management, including record-keeping and rejected insurance claims
  • Follow applicable quality standards, policies, security protocols, and medication-management requirements
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and committees related to medication management, physician dispensing, and other clinical initiatives
  • Partner closely with Patient Care Administrators, nurses, physicians, and other members of the clinical team
  • Occasionally travel to other Private Medical locations for training or operational support

Who We’d Like to Meet

We welcome connections with Pharmacy Technicians who bring:

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent organization and follow-through
  • Clear, professional communication skills
  • A collaborative, service-oriented approach
  • Comfort working independently while contributing to a multidisciplinary team
  • Discretion and sound judgment when handling sensitive information
  • Confidence learning and using technology across multiple platforms
  • An interest in contributing to a thoughtful, relationship-centered approach to healthcare
