Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Family Practice

Shift: Full Time | Days

About us

Starr Regional Medical Center's Athens campus provides inpatient and outpatient services through its 118-bed acute care facility, outpatient rehabilitation services and physician practices.

How you'll contribute:

As a Certified Medical Assistant, your clinical expertise and patient-centered approach truly make an impact. You will perform routine clinical and administrative duties to support the daily operations of the practice and ensure excellent patient experience. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Assisting the physician or nurse with patient assessments, treatments, and clinical procedures
  • Performing basic diagnostic and specimen collection.
  • Monitoring and reporting changes in patient condition
  • Accurately documents patient care
  • Ensures exam rooms, equipment, and medical supplies are clean, stocked, and function appropriately
  • Supporting administrative functions such as scheduling, reception, registration, filing and data entry as needed

 Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required
  • Associate's degree preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire
  • CMA, RMA, or CCMA through AAMA or NHA required
