Job description

Position Summary

The Administrative Coordinator provides administrative, operational, and office support for the Eddyville Chlor Alkali facility. This position serves as a key resource for employees, plant leadership, vendors, contractors, and visitors while helping ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the facility.

The Administrative Coordinator supports office administration, purchasing and invoice processing, employee onboarding activities, document management, and general business operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to plant leadership and site personnel.
  • Coordinate meetings, calendars, travel arrangements, and business communications.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, and other business documents.
  • Maintain electronic and physical filing systems and business records.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for visitors, vendors, contractors, and employees.
  • Manage office supplies, coordinate administrative purchases, and support office operations.
  • Assist with purchase orders, invoice processing, vendor documentation, and related administrative activities.
  • Support data entry, reporting, and recordkeeping activities utilizing SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Assist with employee onboarding, training coordination, employee communications, and general HR support activities.
  • Support site safety programs, training administration, and compliance-related recordkeeping.
  • Coordinate employee meetings, events, and engagement activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality of personnel, financial, and business information.
  • Perform other administrative and operational support duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Three or more years of administrative, office management, customer service, or business support experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

Preferred

  • Associate degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, chemical, or plant operations.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use standard office equipment for extended periods.

Working Conditions

This position is primarily office-based within an operating chemical manufacturing facility and may require occasional interaction with production and operational areas. Occasional overtime or schedule flexibility may be required to support business needs.
