Position-ArcGIS Admin (Installation, Configuration & Administration)
Location-Jackson, MI (ONSITE)

Job Description
  • We are seeking an experienced ArcGIS Administrator to manage, maintain, secure, and optimize our enterprise geospatial platform.
  • This role owns the full lifecycle of the ArcGIS Enterprise environment - including installation, configuration, upgrades, monitoring, troubleshooting, backup/recovery, user administration, and operational support -ensuring reliable GIS services for Electric and Gas engineering, operations, and compliance functions.

Key Responsibilities
Installation & Configuration
  • Install, configure, and maintain ArcGIS Enterprise base deployments and their core components - Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server (GIS/Image), ArcGIS Data Store, and ArcGIS Web Adaptor.
  • Deploy and extend the environment with capability servers/extensions (e.g., GeoEvent, Notebook, Image Server) as business needs require.
  • Configure ArcGIS Desktop/Pro and ArcGIS Engine runtime clients, including licensing, authorization, and patch installation across environments (SBX, DEV, QA, PPD, PROD).
  • Set up and manage the Enterprise Geodatabase (ArcSDE), GIS web services, and data store registration (folders, databases, cloud storage).

Administration & Operations
  • Administer users, groups, roles, content, and licensing following Esri best practices; integrate identity stores/providers and federate ArcGIS Servers.
  • Publish and administer web services; manage relational and object stores.
  • Perform upgrades, patching, and version migrations across the platform.

Required Qualifications
  • This profile is expected to have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in GIS, Computer Science, Geography, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years installing, configuring, and supporting ArcGIS Enterprise.
  • Strong expertise in ArcGIS Server/Portal administration, Enterprise Geodatabase (ArcSDE), and web services.
  • Proficiency with Windows Server and/or Linux, database management (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL/PostGIS), and scripting in Python.
  • Cloud experience, preferably Azure.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and support the platform, resolving issues across GIS, database, and web-server
