Description
If you're looking for an entry-level opportunity with a growing company, Virtucom has an HR Administrator Assistant position for you! Virtucom is seeking an HR Administrator Assistant to support the daily operations of the HR Department, with a focus on employee services, recruitment support, and day-to-day administrative accuracy. This is a full-time, in-office position with hours from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. This is a great opportunity to build a broad foundation in HR while working alongside a collaborative team.
Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Maintain accurate, compliant employee files; process terminations and manage employee records in Paylocity.
  • Serve as a first point of contact for employees' day-to-day needs; compose employee communications (newsletters, announcements).
  • Recruit for open positions: review resumes, post/track job openings, and manage recruiting through offer coordination.
  • Schedule and coordinate candidate interviews and meetings, both within and outside the company, and support the directors with interviews as needed.
  • Onboard new hires (paperwork, system setup, orientation) and support recruitment events such as job fairs.
  • Create and host company events (gather supplies, design flyers/promo materials) and support employee engagement activities.
  • Monitor office supply needs and coordinate with other department leaders on cross-functional projects.
  • Maintain filing systems, answer phones, and provide general HR administrative support.
  • Collect mail from the mailbox and distribute to appropriate recipients; process paychecks received by mail.
  • Make occasional trips to the post office to mail items for department heads, and to the store for event supplies.
  • Assist the HR Manager with additional tasks and special projects as needed.
  • Keep all confidential information confidential and work independently without constant supervision.

Requirements
  • High school diploma required; Associate's/Bachelor's in HR, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 0-2 years administrative/customer-service experience; HR experience a plus.
  • Strong written/verbal communication and organizational skills; high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides); familiarity with Canva.
  • Experience with Paylocity or similar HRIS/payroll platform preferred.
  • Trustworthy with confidential information; able to self-manage and prioritize with minimal supervision.
