We’re seeking dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide individualized support and care in a licensed community residential facility. DSPs play a vital role in assisting individuals with daily living skills, personal care, and community engagement while promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life.

Position Details: 

  • Days/Hours: Morning Shifts, Second Shifts, and Third Shifts available
  • Full Time and Part Time positions available
  • We have multiple shifts at multiple locations in Stroudsburg and surrounding areas available.
  • Performs duties as delegated by Residential Manager in licensed community residential facility for persons with intellectual disabilities (ID). 


What you'll do:

  • Some duties and responsibilities vary in intensity and frequency depending on the program.
  • Provide a safe, clean, comfortable and therapeutic living environment for persons in a community residential setting.
  • Encourage, guide and train individuals in developing daily living skills in a community residential setting.
  • Assist individuals in maintaining their physical health and hygiene.
  • Medication Administration
  • Assist in organizing and participating in leisure/recreation activities.
  • Demonstrate and coach the individuals using approved techniques and strategies.
  • Participate in the maintenance of overall operation of a community residential setting.
  • Follow Agency policy and procedures.
  • To participate in the ongoing communication regarding program planning and implementation for individuals.
  • Document activities on your shift


Qualifications:

  • 18 years or older
  • Pass and maintain Medication Certification standard & CPR/First Aid Certifications
  • Provide and maintain a valid U.S. Driver’s License and able to be insured on company policy
    Job Requirements
  • Candidate will have ability to function in a team environment.
  • Candidate will have ability to work well with individuals and have the physical ability to assist with personal care such as: transferring individual for bathing, household tasks, and grocery shopping.
  • Properly perform the techniques taught in CPR-AED/ First Aid.
  • Properly preform lifting and carrying techniques up to 25lbs.
  • Candidate will behave in professional manner; complete training programs; attend required meeting
  • Unconventional Schedules: Fitzmaurice operates programs and services 24/7, 365 days per year
  • Basic computer skills
  • Maintain annual required training hours for position
