Job Description
The mission of Wytheville Community College is to provide a quality, comprehensive education for the citizens of the counties of Bland, Carroll, Grayson, Smyth, and Wythe and the city of Galax. Wytheville Community College (WCC) is seeking a part time (max 29 hour per week) welding instructor. The welding program is designed to prepare students either through non-credit or credit training to work in business & industry as a welder. Day and/or evening work may be required. Classes will be held at WCC Off Campus site in Galax. This position is restricted as funds are generated from the Workforce Development division based on enrollment and need.
Special Assignments
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
KSA's/Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess good communication skills.
  • 5 years of experience as a welder

Additional Considerations
  • Have had formal training in the welding discipline.
  • Have College level teaching experience.
