Showroom Assistant – ADG HOME Interiors

Location: Norcross, Georgia

Atlanta Design Group, Inc. (ADG), headquartered in Norcross, Georgia, has an immediate opening for a Showroom Assistant within our ADG HOME Interiors division.

This position is ideal for an energetic, customer-focused professional with experience in the home furnishings industry who enjoys working with Interior Designers, Custom Builders, Architects, and Design-Build professionals.

Position Summary

The Showroom Assistant serves as an integral member of the ADG HOME team by supporting Interior Designers throughout the entire sales process—from product selection through order placement, tracking, and project completion.

This position requires exceptional customer service skills, strong organizational abilities, and a thorough understanding of furniture and upholstery ordering procedures.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist Interior Designers with furniture and accessory selections
  • Process furniture and upholstery orders with manufacturers
  • Prepare quotations and proposals
  • Follow orders from placement through delivery
  • Coordinate with manufacturers regarding production schedules, acknowledgments, freight, and claims
  • Maintain showroom merchandising and product displays
  • Assist with client presentations and product sourcing
  • Perform business development through email marketing and networking
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Interior Designers, Builders, Architects, and Design-Build firms
  • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout every stage of the project

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in:
    • Interior Design; or
    • A retail furniture showroom; or
    • A wholesale "to-the-trade" furniture showroom
  • Home furnishings and interior design experience required
  • Experience processing upholstery and custom furniture orders with manufacturers
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service and relationship-building abilities
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple projects
  • Positive, energetic, professional, and results-oriented
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • QuickBooks experience preferred

Compensation

  • Competitive base salary (commensurate with experience)
  • Commission program
  • Current position earnings range from approximately $75,000–$85,000 annually (base salary plus commission)
