General Purpose:
The Financial Systems Analyst assists in supporting the firm's financial systems and processes, data analytics operations, and business intelligence tools. This role provides technical expertise in supporting, maintaining, analyzing, and optimizing financial applications and processes. The position serves as a key technical liaison for the Finance department and assists in streamlining financial operations and workflows. Previous hands-on experience with legal financial platforms (including Aderant, Intapp Time, Emburse, and BigHand applications) is essential for this position.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
System Support & Maintenance
  • Provides technical and workflow support and troubleshooting for financial applications including the accounting system, billing & collections software, expense report application, time entry applications, budgeting software, and business intelligence tools.
  • Assists finance team with software upgrades, implementations, and system configurations.
  • Maintains custom Microsoft Access applications using VBA and best practices.

Data Analytics & Reporting
  • Develops and maintains financial reports and dashboards using SQL, SSRS, Power BI, Excel, and other BI tools.
  • Develops and executes SQL scripts to analyze, validate, and maintain financial data.
  • Analyzes data to support financial operations and metrics.
  • Creates ad hoc reports and analysis for management and internal clients.

Process Improvement
  • Analyzes existing financial processes and identifies opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
  • Assists in streamlining Financial Services workflows, reports, and procedures using technology.
  • Participates in firm initiatives involving financial data and system enhancements.

Collaboration & Support
  • Partners with IT on financial system and process issues.
  • Assists the Finance team with project tasks and testing during upgrades and new implementations.
  • Supports data governance initiatives and maintains understanding of system relationships.
  • Documents system processes, procedures, and technical specifications.

Perform additional duties and tasks assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to supporting the firm's overall objectives.

Job Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certification):
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or Information Systems (IS) related field.
  • Four (4) + years of financial systems experience.
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts and business metrics.
  • Law firm experience preferred.
  • Experience with legal financial systems (Aderant, Intapp Time, Emburse, BigHand Applications).
  • Knowledge of database and cube structures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, and database management.
  • Proficiency in business intelligence tools (Power BI, BigHand-Iridium BI, SSRS).
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Access, VBA, and Office 365 applications.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.

Schedule:
For the first 90 days of employment, this position will be in-office every day. After completion of 90 days, this position may allow for a hybrid schedule generally in-office a minimum of two (2) days per week. The hybrid work structure may change at any time, including the number of in-office days requirement.
Compensation:
Holland & Hart offers of employment take into consideration a candidate's education, training, and experience, as well as the position's work location, external market and internal value, including seniority and merit systems, and internal pay alignment when determining the salary level for potential new employees. The Colorado, Nevada, and Utah salary range is $69,375 to $115,625 annually. The Idaho salary range is $65,906 to $109,844 annually. The Washington DC salary range is $76,312 to $127,188 annually. A discretionary bonus may be available based upon performance.
