Job Description

The Drop Team Attendant is responsible for accurately counting and recording all cash and coins turned into the Casino Cage as well as handling dropped money from the casino floor.

Location
In-person in Las Vegas, NV, 89109: Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required).

Responsibilities

  • Prepare for drops.
  • Safely and efficiently collect cash and chips from gaming tables and slot machines and transport them to the casino vault or secure drop location.
  • Work with the Cage team to accurately count and verify cash and chips ensuring all transactions are correctly documented.
  • Accurately count and verify coins on Tuesdays and Fridays as determined by the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
  • Roll coins for the cage once a week at the discretion of the Drop Team Manager.
  • Work closely with the Food and Beverage team to gather envelopes and place them in a secure location for accurate verification.
  • Complete secure box removals from slot machines and safely and efficiently transport them to the secure drop location to accurately count and verify, as well as accurately verify transactions placed by card.
  • Empty boxes by using specialized equipment and prepare for exchange when the designated drop time begins.
  • Securely transport cash to the casino floor.
  • Effectively operate specialized equipment for Blackjack tables? paperwork.
  • Adhere to all security protocols and procedures to prevent theft, loss, or discrepancies. Report any suspicious activity or irregularities to the security team.
  • Work closely with other casino departments to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Follow all regulatory and casino policies regarding cash handling and security procedures.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and provide excellent service to guests and team members, addressing any inquiries or concerns in a courteous manner.

Skills / Experience

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess strong mathematical skills and have the ability to count currency.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy in counting and documentation, and ability to handle cash and chips securely.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members and guests.
  • Ability to carry out detailed oral or written instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must pass a background check and drug test.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Registration card.

Bonus Skills / Experience

  • Previous experience in cash handling, security, or casino operations preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs of bags of cash and chips.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, walk, kneel, crouch, and bend.
  • Ability to speak effectively and clearly.
  • Use hands to handle objects and operate machinery.
  • Ability to be exposed to smoke and noise levels between moderate to loud on the casino floor.
