Summary
Our client is a global leader in the ultrasonic technology industry and they are hiring an Area Sales Manager position for the Mid-Atlantic and New England Territory (must be located in this area).
Responsibilities:
  • Own and execute territory sales strategy aligned with annual bookings and growth targets
  • Identify, qualify, and close new system opportunities within assigned industries and accounts
  • Develop and grow strategic accounts, driving wallet share expansion across a multi-brand portfolio
  • Lead consultative, technical sales engagements with Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Reliability, Production, Maintenance, and Operations leadership
  • Coordinate internal engineering, applications, service, and marketing resources to support demos, trials, validation, and complex project pursuits
  • Drive competitive displacement and conversion-based selling, replacing incumbent technologies
  • Leverage installed base intelligence to generate expansion, tooling, parts, service, and lifecycle revenue opportunities
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and provide disciplined forecasting using Salesforce.com
  • Represent their brands at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings
  • Monitor competitive activity and provide Voice of Customer feedback to support product and commercial strategy

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of B2B industrial sales experience, preferably in capital equipment or engineered systems
  • Demonstrated success managing a territory and achieving revenue targets
  • Experience selling into technical manufacturing environments
  • Strong consultative selling skills and ability to manage multi-stakeholder sales cycles
  • Proficiency using Salesforce.com or similar CRM platforms
  • Willingness to travel 40% within assigned territory

Preferred Background:
  • Experience in ultrasonic cleaning, thermoplastic welding, ultrasonic welding and cutting, automation systems, or precision manufacturing technologies
  • Familiarity with medical device, automotive, aerospace, battery/energy, additive manufacturing, food processing, or coatings industries
  • Technical degree in engineering or related discipline
  • Established relationships within industrial manufacturing accounts

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $140k - $160k base salary. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
