Inpatient Therapist - Addiction Recovery | Anabranch Recovery Center | Terre Haute, Indiana

About the Job:

The Therapist III is a part of the multidisciplinary team responsible for providing direct clinical services to clients and their families by diagnosing and treating mental and emotional disorders, whether cognitive, affective, or behavioral. Completes Psychosocial Assessments; providing individual, group and family therapy for clients; facilitating psycho-educational training, family meetings, discharge planning; assisting in program development; developing, implementing, and reviewing Treatment Plans; and providing linkage to outside resources.

As a Primary Therapist, you will provide compassionate, evidence-based clinical care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary treatment team to support lasting recovery and positive outcomes.

What We're Looking For

Required Education & Experience

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of clinical therapy experience.
  • At least two (2) years of experience working with the population served by the facility, including substance use disorders, mental health, or co-occurring disorders.

  • Complete comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment and discharge plans.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  • Develop, implement, and regularly update treatment plans to meet each client's unique clinical needs.
  • Serve as an active member of the multidisciplinary treatment team, contributing clinical insights and treatment recommendations.
  • Manage an assigned caseload while ensuring high-quality, client-centered care.
  • Facilitate specialized therapy groups and psychoeducational programming.
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards.
  • Coordinate discharge planning and continuing care services to support long-term recovery success.
  • Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services when needed.
  • Connect clients and families with community resources, including housing, financial assistance, legal services, vocational support, and recovery support networks.
  • Collaborate with referral sources, family members, and community partners to ensure continuity of care.
  • Evaluate client needs and coordinate referrals to appropriate levels of care or specialized services.
  • Support the professional development of team members through training, mentorship, and clinical guidance as needed.
  • Participate in program development initiatives designed to enhance client outcomes and treatment effectiveness.
