As a Mental Health Therapist, you will have the flexibility to manage your own schedule, accommodating client appointments during evening and weekend hours as necessary. • Conduct thorough assessments and screenings to understand each client’s history of substance use and mental health challenges, tailoring evaluations to inform treatment planning.
• Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans that not only address addiction issues but also consider underlying mental health disorders for holistic care.
• Lead individual and group therapy sessions, employing methodologies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing (MI) to foster client engagement and success.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and case managers, to create a seamless treatment experience for clients.
• Provide support and education to families of clients, encouraging their involvement in the recovery process and helping them understand addiction.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions and treatment in a confidential manner, adhering to legal and ethical standards of practice.

The individuals we serve often face multiple challenges, including co-occurring mental health disorders and substance use issues. As such, your role as a Mental Health Therapist will focus on cultivating therapeutic relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds, empowering them to overcome their obstacles. • A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) is required.
• A master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is mandatory.
• Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of evidence-based practices related to addiction and mental health will be essential.
• Proven therapeutic skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and inspire motivation in their recovery journey.
• Exceptional communication skills are a must for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and engaging with clients and their families.

• Experience working within a substance abuse treatment framework, demonstrating practical knowledge of addiction counseling techniques.
• Familiarity with treatment protocols and recovery frameworks like the Twelve Steps or SMART Recovery is advantageous.
• Prior engagement in settings that require team coordination and collaboration in multidisciplinary treatment contexts.
