Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)/Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)/Physician Assistant with addiction medicine experience to join our team. The clinician will provide comprehensive psychiatric care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, to patients with a variety of mental health conditions in a residential treatment setting in addition to history and physicals and medical follow-up. This role involves collaborating with our team of psychiatrists and other team members. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients.
  • Complete history and physicals
  • Medical follow-up 
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
  • Prescribe and manage psychopharmacological treatments.
  • Provide psychotherapy and counseling to patients.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records.
  • Participate in case conferences, treatment planning meetings, and other collaborative efforts.
  • Stay current with advancements in psychiatric care and participate in continuing education activities.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Two years of experience working as a PMHNP/FNP/PA-C is preferred.
  • Board Certification as PMHNP/FNP/PA-C.
  • Behavioral health or addiction treatment experience preferred. 
  • Active and unrestricted APRN license in Indiana.
  • DEA registration and prescriptive authority in Indiana.
  • Strong clinical skills in the assessment and treatment of psychiatric conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • This is an in-person position. Must be within commuting distance of Fort Wayne, IN.
