Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Manual Tester with a strong understanding of mobile testing and hands-on experience using ADB (Android Debug Bridge) commands. The ideal candidate will have a good grasp of testing mobile applications on Android devices, identifying bugs, and providing detailed reports to developers and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform manual testing of mobile applications on Android platforms.
Use ADB commands to interact with Android devices/emulators for installing APKs, capturing logs, simulating user actions, and more.
Execute test cases, analyze results, and document defects.
Capture and analyze logcat logs to identify and isolate bugs.
Collaborate with development and QA teams to troubleshoot issues on Android devices.
Maintain and update test documentation, test cases, and test data.
Perform smoke, regression, and exploratory testing.
Verify bug fixes and provide clear, reproducible bug reports.
Assist in reproducing customer-reported issues using ADB and manual testing.
Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
4+ years of experience in manual testing, specifically for mobile applications.
Strong hands-on experience with ADB commands and understanding of Android system architecture.
Familiarity with Android logs, crash analysis, and device management via ADB.
Experience testing on various Android devices and OS versions.
Ability to write and execute comprehensive test cases and test scenarios.
Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
