Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Systems Integration Engineer to support the design, development, and implementation of integrations between AI-powered automation solutions and enterprise business systems. This role will focus on connecting financial, HR, payroll, utility, insurance, and administrative systems to support business process automation initiatives.

The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders, technical teams, and business users to design secure, scalable, and reliable integrations that facilitate accurate data exchange across multiple platforms. This position requires strong expertise in enterprise application integration, data transformation, API development, and system interoperability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assess existing enterprise systems and identify integration requirements across financial, HR, payroll, utility, insurance, and reporting platforms.
  • Gather and document business and technical requirements, including data models, field mappings, transformation rules, and integration specifications.
  • Design, develop, and implement integration solutions connecting automation platforms with enterprise applications.
  • Build and maintain API integrations, ETL processes, data transformation workflows, and file-based integration solutions.
  • Develop integration solutions for invoice processing, audit preparation, insurance reconciliation, and related business workflows.
  • Implement integration approaches for systems that do not support APIs, including secure file transfers, SFTP, middleware, and robotic process automation (RPA) technologies.
  • Design and implement data validation and reconciliation processes to support business and financial controls.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and system performance.
  • Develop and maintain audit logging and monitoring capabilities to support operational visibility and compliance requirements.
  • Participate in integration testing, user acceptance testing, troubleshooting, and production deployment activities.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, integration specifications, data dictionaries, and support procedures.
  • Provide technical support and knowledge transfer to internal teams and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience designing, developing, or supporting integrations involving financial systems, HR systems, payroll systems, utility systems, or other enterprise applications.
  • Experience developing API integrations, ETL processes, data transformation workflows, or middleware-based integrations.
  • Experience working with relational databases, SQL, data mapping, and data validation processes.
  • Experience integrating enterprise applications using secure data exchange methods, including APIs, file transfers, or middleware platforms.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with municipal, government, or public-sector ERP systems.
  • Experience with Tyler Technologies Munis or similar financial management platforms.
  • Experience integrating HR, payroll, benefits, or insurance-related systems.
  • Experience with integration platforms such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Azure Integration Services, or similar technologies.
  • Experience supporting healthcare-related data integrations and privacy requirements.
  • Familiarity with financial reconciliation processes, audit support workflows, and data governance practices.
  • Experience supporting municipal or government technology initiatives.
  • Knowledge of enterprise automation, intelligent document processing, or AI-enabled business solutions.
