Job description

  • Field calibration delivery. Travel to customer collision, glass, and repair facilities to complete dynamic ADAS calibrations and related vehicle safety system services to OEM specification, using BP equipment, targets, scan tools, and OEM service information.
  • Diagnostics and verification. Pre- and post-scan vehicles, diagnose and resolve calibration faults, and verify that all safety systems function properly before the vehicle is released to the customer.
  • Facility support. Perform wheel alignments on all makes and models and complete static ADAS calibrations in the Sterling Heights bays as scheduling and volume require; prepare vehicles for calibration and support the site team during peak demand.
  • Estimating and service identification. Evaluate collision and repair estimates to identify required calibrations and services, build quotes for that work, and proactively advise customers when a calibration is required and the reason for it.
  • Customer relationship. Communicate clearly with customers, verbally and in writing, regarding ADAS system needs, estimates, invoices, and completed work; act as the on-site representative of Burke Porter ADAS and escalate unresolved issues to the ADAS Technical Support & Estimate Leader.
  • Perform and document all work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, to the standard required by customers, insurers, and internal quality review.
  • Vehicle handling and safety. Safely shuttle customer vehicles to and from the repair facility, exhibit safe driving at all times, and follow all established safety policies and procedures.

Technical development. Complete assigned training and mentoring to build ADAS competency, progress toward certification, and stay current on emerging automotive and ADAS technologies.
