Summary:
CMU encourages students to engage in a healthy campus lifestyle. As part of our campus-wide Health and Wellness program, every student takes the Health & Wellness course and at least one activity class (and most take three or more) to meet graduation requirements for all undergraduate degrees. Our activity classes range from Aerobics to Zumba and we are always looking for local instructors who are highly experienced in the courses we offer. With the great community of health, fitness, and wellness experts we enjoy in Western Colorado, YOU could be a great fit to educate our Mavericks!

List of Activity Courses: Beginning Swimming, Intermediate Swimming, Springboard Diving, Water Polo, Rock Climbing, Hiking, Beginning Golf, Intermediate Golf, Disc Golf and Ultimate Frisbee, Badminton, Karate, Beginning Tennis, Pickleball, Racquet Sports, Fitness Walking, Physical Conditioning, Intermediate Weight Training, Weight Training, Aerobics, Step Aerobics, Self-Defense, Pilates, Indoor Cycling, Adaptive Physical Activity, Introduction to Yoga, Hatha Yoga Relaxation, Flow Yoga, Zumba, Snorkeling/Free Diving, and Social Dance.
In addition to our activity classes, we are also looking for instructors who may be interested and qualified to teach the Health & Wellness course.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.
Teaching as an Adjunct Lecturer at CMU requires familiarity and use of our online learning platform, D2L, along with the ability to create a syllabus with engaging and educating methodologies to assess student learning.
Salary:
$600-$850 per credit hour. Commensurate with education and experience.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher or we will consider accredited certification in your activity and/or 5 years of documented experienced teaching.
  • Master's degree is required to teach KINE 100 Health and Wellness
