Job description

Essential Functions

  • Provides acupuncture as well as adjunctive therapies within the scope of acupuncture including massage, mechanical, thermal, electrical, and electromagnetic treatment and the recommendation of herbs, dietary guidelines, and therapeutic exercise.
  • Demonstrates skill and knowledge of the clinical role and its integration with other clinical and alternative services provided.
  • Develops and implements a plan of care to meet patient needs, to include planning and utilization of available resources.
  • Completes billing information at the time of service.
Physical Requirements
Requires frequent standing, walking, and reaching in front of the body. Required to lift up to 10 lbs. frequently. Requires use of fingers and both hands. Requires speaking with clear diction and the ability to hear (corrected). Possible exposure to hazardous chemicals, blood, or body fluids.


Education, Experience and Certifications

Requires license to practice acupuncture in the applicable state. Requires graduation from an accredited acupuncture school. Requires secure and maintain credentialing by the integrative medicine practice in accordance with the practice Credentialing and Quality Review Plan. Requires a minimum of 2 years experience practicing acupuncture. Requires excellent verbal/written communication, organizational, skills. Requires Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) from AHA.
