Job description

Senior Electrical Project Manager
Full-Time | Onsite Pacific, WA | Direct Hire | $145K$155K

About the Opportunity

Our client is an established commercial electrical contractor serving private and public sector clients across the Greater Puget Sound region and beyond. Their work spans commercial electrical, low-voltage, and service, with 1530 projects running at any given time. It's a close-knit, work-hard/play-hard team where field and office staff are tight, tenure runs long, and loyalty is huge. Expect an open-door, face-to-face culture with team lunches and the occasional Friday get-together they want someone outgoing, engaging, and fun to be around who pitches in wherever needed.

The Role

This is primarily a leadership role rather than a hands-on PM seat. Reporting to the VP of Construction, you'll manage and mentor a team of 56 Project Managers providing direction, building their business acumen, and overseeing project delivery across the team rather than personally running projects day to day. You'll also oversee a portion of the estimating team, so estimating experience matters. You may step in to run a project directly if a coverage gap needs filling. Core focus: leading the PM team, overseeing delivery and estimating, and bringing strong business and financial acumen.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 56 Project Managers
  • Oversee project delivery across the team's portfolio
  • Provide estimating oversight for part of the estimating team
  • Bring budgeting and financial acumen to project and team decisions
  • Step in to run a project directly when coverage is needed
  • Report to and partner with the VP of Construction

What You Bring (Must-Haves)

  • 7+ years in electrical project management on large-scale commercial projects, including leading/managing other PMs
  • Commercial electrical construction background
  • Estimating experience (you'll oversee part of the estimating team) Accubid ideal
  • Proven team leadership and mentorship
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency with Procore and Bluebeam
  • Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management preferred; PMP preferred; PE a plus

Nice to have: PE license; PMP; proven track record developing PMs; business-development acumen.
