Description

Purpose of the Job: 

The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for sourcing and procuring components needed to fill customer demand, negotiating fair pricing, and ensuring timely delivery.


Reports to: Sr. Supply Chain Manager or Director of Supply Chain


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop & build relationships as the main point of contact for daily business execution with suppliers.
  • Sourcing and placing vendor purchase orders to fill customer POs
  • Monitoring PO delivery and expediting where necessary
  • Negotiating pricing and terms with suppliers
  • Maintain data integrity for procurement activities
  • Monitoring overall supplier performance, providing feedback, and jointly creating action plans with the suppliers
  • Support Strategic Business Reviews with suppliers
  • Work closely with customer service, sales, and strategic alliance groups to understand customer demand and requirements
  • Analyze demand and recommend strategic purchases when beneficial
  • Recommend and support/lead improvements to optimize the overall process and drive greater efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and/or 1-3 years related experience
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems
  • Analytical mind with business acumen
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
