Job description

First Steps Nursing and Therapy is seeking a compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to provide one-on-one care for a pediatric patient in the home setting.Case Details

Patient: 9-year-old male
Care Needs: G-tube, seizures (Low Acuity)
Schedule: Wednesday–Friday 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, Saturday 7:30 AM–3:30 PM

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct, hands-on care to assigned patient

  • Assess patient condition and document observations

  • Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and therapies

  • Perform tracheostomy care and monitor patient status

  • Conduct vital signs and ongoing assessments

  • Communicate changes in condition to supervisor and/or physician

  • Educate and support family members and caregivers

  • Complete accurate and timely documentation in EMR system (Kantime)

Requirements
  • Active Texas RN or LVN license (unencumbered)

  • Current CPR certification

  • Reliable transportation

  • Ability to perform physical tasks (lifting, standing, transfers)

  • Pediatric experience preferred but not required

  • Training provided (in-office and on-site)
