Actors can work in film, television, theater, commercials, voice-over work, and digital media. They may also take on roles such as stunt performers, stand-ins, or background extras, often requiring skills in improvisation, voice modulation, and understanding of scripts. As a Haunted Actor, you will be at the heart of the excitement — bringing characters to life, delivering unforgettable scares, and creating lasting memories for our guests.

This is a temporary, seasonal position ideal for performers, thrill-seekers, and anyone who loves Halloween and the art of scare entertainment.

  • Maintain character integrity and energy level throughout the entire shift
  • Collaborate with fellow actors, directors, and crew to ensure smooth attraction operations
  • Attend mandatory pre-season orientation, training, and rehearsals
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines for both guests and fellow cast members
  • Report to your designated scene or zone on time and in full costume and makeup
  • Communicate promptly with supervisors regarding any costume, makeup, or safety concerns

Education, Skills & Knowledge

  • Must be 16 years of age or older
  • Ability to commit to the full September–October season, including all Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings
  • Comfortable working in dark, loud, and enclosed environments
  • Physically able to stand, crouch, walk, and move in costume for extended periods
  • Strong performance energy with the ability to maintain character for full shift duration
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional — attendance is critical to our team's success
  • Comfortably wear full costumes, masks, and theatrical makeup
  • A positive, team-player attitude and willingness to take direction
  • Prior acting, theatre, or performance experience is a plus, but not required

Working Conditions

  • Ability to work outdoors and in indoor haunted environments in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to remain in character and on your feet for multiple hours per shift
  • Tolerance for strobe lights, fog machines, loud sound effects, and other special effects
  • Comfort with close-proximity guest interaction in high-energy, fast-paced situations

Availability Requirements

Candidates must be available to work every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evening throughout the entire September and October season. Shifts will run from early evening through late-night hours. Specific shift times will be communicated prior to the season start. Attendance at mandatory pre-season training (typically held in late August or early September) is also required.
