Job description

Division/Department: Special Events 

Job Title: Onboard Audio Technician

Reports To: Special Events Coordinator 

Type of position: Non-Exempt, Hourly

Employee Classification: Part Time-Seasonal

Pay Range: $16-19

Location: Durango, CO

Position Summary

The Onboard Audio Technician is in charge operating the sound for performances. They start-up and monitor pre-show music, actor microphones, and all aspects of the onboard sound for the performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate soundboard and cues for entire performance, including before, during, and after each performance.
  • Assists with pre-show sound checks
  • Ensures actors are correctly mic’d and runs mic check with actors

Qualifications

  • Technical Theatre experience preferred but not required
  • QLab experience preferred but not required
  • Must be able to travel between moving train cars
  • Will be Required to work in inclement winter weather, as needed
  • Will be required to work evenings, weekends, holidays
