Basehor-Linwood USD 458 is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant for the High School for the 2024-2024 school year. Reports to: Building Principal Position Summary: The job of Administrative Assistant - Principal - High School is done for the purpose/s of providing a wide variety of complex and confidential administrative and clerical support; communicating information on behalf of the Principal; acting as a liaison for the assigned Administrator between the school district and other outside agencies; and providing support for students and/or staff.Qualifications:Required:Desire and ability to work with students and staff.A willingness to cooperate with and follow the directions of the school principal.The ability and willingness to communicate with all stakeholders.Ability to plan, organize, and see that activities are completed.Proficient in data collection and reporting.Excellent written and oral skills.Proficient in Microsoft and Google applications. Essential Functions:Ability to manage the principal's schedule, including appointments, meetings, and events

Ability to perform record-keeping and clerical functions that include handling correspondence, emails, and phone calls on behalf of the principal. Ability to serve as a liaison between the principal, staff, students, parents, and external stakeholders. By communicating important information, announcements, and updates as directed by the principal.Ability to maintain and organize files, records, and documents.Ability to collect, compile, and organize data related to student attendance and disciplinary actions; prepare reports, spreadsheets, and presentations based on this data as needed.Ability to coordinate logistics for school events, meetings, and conferences

Arrange facilities, equipment, catering, and other necessary resources. Prepare agendas, materials, and presentations for these events.Ability to support human resource functions such as recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and training.Ability to work to implement the vision and mission of the district.Ability to work with technology and computer systems.Ability to model commitment and dedication to work.Ability to work independently and without supervision, and complete work in an efficient manner. General Responsibilities:Adapts to changing work priorities, communicates with diverse groups, maintains confidentiality, meets deadlines and schedules, sets priorities, works as part of a team, and can work with frequent interruptions.Operates standard office equipment using pertinent software applications, prepares and maintains accurate records, and plans and manages projects.Ensures that all activities conform to district guidelines.Communicates effectively with all members of the school district and community.Works effectively with community organizations.Reacts to change productively and handles other tasks as assigned.Supports the value of education.Supports the mission and vision of USD #458.Keeps abreast of new information, best practices, innovative ideas, and techniques.Adheres to all district health and safety policies, including all precautions of the Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Control Plan.Other duties as assigned by the Principal, or other Administrative Staff
