LAWYERING PROGRAM FACULTY, New York University School of Law, Academic Year 2027-2028. Seeking applicants for several full-time, non-tenure-track Acting Assistant Professor positions to teach a two-semester course. The Lawyering Program provides support for faculty scholarship and preparation for entering the law teaching market as well as opportunities for reflection on practice. The position offers an excellent opportunity to work with students in a cutting-edge simulation-based curriculum. Lawyering introduces first-year law students to legal analysis, fact development, legal research, legal writing, oral advocacy, and client counseling in litigation and transactional settings. Most Lawyering professors transition into tenure-track clinical or doctrinal teaching positions. Some choose to transition into new areas in the legal profession or other positions in academia.
