Job Summary:
Organizes, coordinates, and promotes a comprehensive athletic program in the assigned sport that is designed to meet the needs and interests of the school community; provides effective leadership that will ensure a positive learning environment and will stress the importance of academic achievement; demonstrates a high degree of ethics, professionalism, human relations, and is a positive role model for all students.

7th Grade Girls
8th Grade Girls
7th & 8th Grade Boys
Salary: $1,200.00/Season (Per Team)
Minimum Qualifications & Abilities:
  • Appropriate California teaching credential or Activity Supervisor Clearance Certificate.
  • CPR/First Aid/AED Certification required.
  • Knowledge of student behavior management strategies and techniques.
  • Knowledge of the assigned sport.
  • Previous coaching experience in the assigned sport preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with teachers, students, parents, and administrators.

Essential Functions:
  • Teaches sport techniques, playing rules, strategies, and playing tactics.
  • Conditions athletes appropriately for activities requiring endurance, strength, and agility.
  • Supervises and conducts practices and contests safely; supervises locker rooms and buses.
  • Teaches sportsmanship, cooperation, work ethic, and responsibility to one's team.
  • Monitors athletes' school attendance, grades, and personal conduct.
  • Responds to player injuries with appropriate first aid techniques.
  • Manages uniforms, equipment, and school facilities in a responsible manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Superintendent or designee.
