Orwigsburg Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, located in Orwigsburg, PA is seeking to hire an enthusiastic and innovative Activities Assistant to join our team!

Full time, Part Time day/evening shift, 930a-430p and/or 4p-8p, 12p-8p

Must be flexible to work every other weekend and every other holiday

The responsibilities & duties:

  • Helps resident maintain their highest level of functioning by presenting appropriate activity programs according to resident’s physical capacity, cognitive ability and interest

  • Invites and encourages resident participation and assists in transporting

  • Accompanies residents outside facility to participate in community events

  • Create decorations, up set necessary equipment, create various crafts, and award pries

  • Assist in planning, layout and distribution of monthly activity calendar

  • Assist in scheduling movies, planning parties and providing games/activities for residents

  • Supervise and lead activities as necessary

  • Attend and contribute to resident Care Plan Meetings

  • Participate in Quality Assurance programs and facility committees/programs
