The Position:

We're looking for passionate Activities Manager who will plan, coordinate, and provide activity programs and services to our Kupuna.

  • Assess residents upon admission and at least once each year, for group and individual activity participation based upon the residentโ€™s needs, interests, routines and preference, as well as the residentโ€™s physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual abilities to promote that highest practicable level of independence, life satisfaction and self-esteem.
  • Participate in the completion of the MDS and, when appropriate, the RAP Summary.
  • Participate in the development of the interdisciplinary care plan. Contribute to and/or direct/delegate the contribution to the comprehensive care plan (problems, goals and/or approaches) which are individualized to match the medically related needs as well as the activity related needs, interests, abilities, routines and preferences of each resident.

Requirements:

  • A Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist or activities professional or is a qualified Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant or has two years experience in social or recreational program in last five years, one of which was full-time in a resident activities program or has completed an Activity Director training course approved by the state
  • One (1) year experience in long-term care or working with the elderly preferred.
  • Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance and health review (can be done in-house).
