We are seeking a creative, energetic, and compassionate Activities Coordinator to lead engaging programs for our Assisted Living and Memory Care residents. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about senior living and committed to enriching the lives of individuals living with dementia and Alzheimer's disease.

Position Summary

The Activities Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and leading programs that promote residents' physical, emotional, cognitive, and social well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience working with seniors, particularly in a memory care setting, and possess the creativity and enthusiasm needed to develop meaningful experiences that enhance daily life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive activities and life-enrichment program for Assisted Living and Memory Care residents.
  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate recreational, social, educational, therapeutic, and wellness activities.
  • Create engaging programs that support cognitive stimulation, physical activity, social interaction, and emotional well-being.
  • Adapt activities based on residents' interests, abilities, and individual care needs.
  • Collaborate with nursing, care, and leadership teams to ensure programming supports resident-centered care goals.
  • Encourage resident participation while fostering a positive and inclusive community atmosphere.
  • Assist with community events, holiday celebrations, entertainment, and family engagement opportunities.
  • Maintain activity calendars, participation records, and required documentation.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and continuously seek new ideas to enhance resident engagement.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience working with seniors in an assisted living, personal care, skilled nursing, or memory care environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
  • Passion for improving the lives of older adults.

Preferred

  • Activity Director Certification or equivalent certification.
  • Experience working with residents living with dementia and Alzheimer's disease.
