POSITION SUMMARY:
Coordinates daily patient-facing activities at all ANTHC Lodging locations (Tudor Centre, Quyana House, Old Seward, Midtown, Springhill Suites). The position supervises front-line activities, implements scheduled cultural and wellness events, and supports service-recovery efforts. Works under the direction of the Manager, Guest Experience and in collaboration with Lodging leaders to create a safe, respectful, and engaging environment for patients and escorts.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plans, schedules, and coordinates group activities, including cultural events, crafts, educational sessions, and community resource offerings at Lodging locations.
- Coordinates Alaska Native-centered cultural and wellness activities in Patient Housing and external hotels, including but not limited to craft circles, language or storytelling events, and community resource fairs.
- Ensures activities reflect Alaska Native cultures and values in collaboration with Cultural and Traditional Healing partners and community representatives.
- Supervises activities staff and volunteers, including daily work direction, assignment of tasks, scheduling, and performance feedback.
- Provides visible presence in lodging common areas, supporting a welcoming atmosphere and responding to minor complaints and concerns in real time.
- Escalates safety concerns, issues, and complex complaints to Lodging leadership or the Manager, Logistics Experience in accordance with established protocols.
- Supports service-recovery actions such as providing comfort items, coordinating room moves when approved, and assisting with wayfinding and communication.
- Maintains inventories of supplies needed for activities and comfort items; submits purchase requests and tracks usage.
- Documents participation in activities, gathers informal feedback, and reports trends to the Manager, Logistics Experience.
- Ensures that activities and common-area use follow ANTHC policies, infection-prevention practices, and safety guidelines.
- Participates in staff training and huddles; provides input on improving patient-experience workflows.
- Presents information using charts, graphs, web, statistical analysis, and a variety of other pertinent formats.
- Provides data and reports to internal and external customers based on customer needs in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
- Provides information to other departments and outside sources.
- Contributes to Agile processes, sprints, planning meetings, and planning boards.
- Provides support to ANTHC division and departments on specific projects.
- Works on problems and concerns, escalating complex situations to Leadership. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.
- Builds stable working relationships internally.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION QUALIFICATION
An associate's degree in hospitality, education, social work, or a related field. Experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis for college education.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION
Supervisory - Two (2) years of work experience in hospitality, education, recreation, community services or healthcare support. An equivalent combination of relevant education and/or training may be substituted for experience.
TO INCLUDE
Supervisory - One (1) year involving employee supervision.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
May be required to work outside the traditional work schedule.
May be called out to work off shift in emergency situations.
