Job description

Activity Assistant

Join our family of veteran activities staff at Berlin Health & Rehabilitation Center and take advantage of newly adjusted competitive wages for our Activities Assistant position!

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and carrying out recreational programs, group activities, special entertainment, and holiday events to meet the needs of our residents

  • Support, encourage, and motivate residents to attend activities

  • Transport residents to and from activities as needed

  • Accompany residents to special events and trips outside the facility

  • Facilitate the activity and be always aware of all residents

  • Clean up after each activity and get ready for the next one

  • Assemble, dismantle, and store equipment and supplies used in the recreation program

  • Communicate with families as necessary and encourage their involvement
