Job description

Danto Builders is a family-owned construction company specializing in commercial, hospitality, healthcare, industrial, multifamily, and government projects throughout South Florida. For over 40 years, we have built a reputation for quality, integrity, and long-term client relationships.


Position Summary

Danto Builders is seeking an Assistant General Construction Superintendent with 3+ years of commercial construction experience to support the Superintendent in managing field operations for new construction and major renovation projects. Projects are located in Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach Counties.

The Assistant Superintendent will help coordinate subcontractors, maintain project schedules, enforce safety standards, monitor quality control, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.


Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily jobsite operations and subcontractor coordination.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Help maintain project schedules, daily reports, inspection logs, and field documentation.
  • Monitor jobsite quality and ensure work complies with plans and specifications.
  • Coordinate inspections, testing, material deliveries, and permit-related activities.
  • Assist with RFIs, submittals, punch lists, and change order documentation.
  • Conduct jobsite safety inspections and enforce safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure jobsite.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, inspectors, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Support the Superintendent and Project Manager as needed.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of commercial construction experience, preferably with a general contractor.
  • Ability to read construction plans and specifications.
  • Working knowledge of construction means and methods.
  • Experience with Procore preferred.
  • Strong computer, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • OSHA 30 certification and fluency in Spanish are a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
