Job description

New Hope Manor in Cedar Park, TX  is seeking an energetic, creative, self-directed Activities Director Assistant to enrich the lives of our resident's quality of life. The candidate should have the following characteristics and or experience.


ROTATING SCHEDULE- EVERY OTHER WEEKEND OFF

JOB SUMMARY:

Plans, coordinates and directs an ongoing program of activities designed to meet the physical, mental, social, recreational, and religious needs of the residents; recruits, trains, and supervises the volunteer program of the facility, completes documentation as required by State and Federal requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in Preparing monthly newsletter for distribution to all residents and families.

  •  Develop and pursues a varied program of meaningful activities and events that is balanced in the physical, spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional, vocational and cognitive elements.

  •  Meets and greets each person upon move-in to welcome them and their family and friends to the facility.

  • Decorates the common areas for special events and holidays.

  • Conducts individual and group interactions.

  • Documents on Resident participation

  • Compassionate spirit and enthusiasm for working with the elderly.

  • Experience working with seniors.

  • Proficient in written and verbal English.

  • Computer experience and ability to-use or learn to use software programs.
