Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:
As an Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing coordination, supervision, and accountability for organized activities including Little Cedar Kids' Club/Activities Center, holiday event schedules, seasonal guest programs, festivals and private group recreation activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Supervise Kids' Club/Activities Center Programs and implement environmentally oriented programs, as directed, which are safe and fun for all participants. This may include knowing and enforcing safety protocols and maintaining a safe and clean environment for activities.
  • Assist with the setup, execution and supervision of guests' participation in activities throughout major holidays and events. This may include taking attendance & maintaining records of the event.
  • Enhance guest experience through fun and engaging activities and programs, including providing feedback for monthly activities schedules and ensuring they align with the goals and objectives of the activities department. This should include acting as a positive role model for guests by demonstrating good behavior, sportsmanship and respect of all guests and other associates.
  • Conduct and implement group recreational activities which may include games, arts & Crafts and outdoor adventures - tailored to the age and interest of the guests.
  • Assist other associates in operating the fitness center, swimming pools, guest services desk and other recreational facilities as needed including maintaining the cleanliness and organization of activities and recreation facilities and spaces.
  • All other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Preferred Degree: Current High School Students allowed
  • Years of experience: 0 years required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
  • Previous experience in working or volunteering with school age children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and associates at all levels.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • CPR certification and basic first aid training preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.

  • N/A

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Regularly stands and walks.
Occasionally sits and lifts up to 50 lbs.
Seldom/never does computer work.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
Performs tasks and duties under direct supervision, using well-defined policies and procedures. Work is reviewed by supervisor. Limited opportunity exists for exercising independent judgment and decision making.
