We are looking for a Temporary Activities Assistant to join our team!

Come help The Activities Director meet the spiritual, cultural, physical, intellectual, and social needs of our residents both inside and outside the community.

Essential Functions

  • Support the mission, vision, and culture of the organization.
  • Perform activities on schedule while maintaining regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Promote resident’s attendance at events and activities
  • Assist with planning and implementing events and activities.
  • Assist with group activities, sing-a-longs, and exercise classes
  • Conduct activity programs as assigned.
  • Assist residents with gardening projects.
  • Assist with decorations for holidays and special occasions.

Skills

  • Experience in activities with seniors who have dementia or in a senior retirement community
  • Great organization, planning, and engaging/re-directing seniors
  • Great energy and kindness
  • Operate a VCR, DVD, and stereo system.
  • High School diploma or equivalent certificate
  • Must possess valid First Aid Certification

Work Schedule

  • 8:30am - 5:00pm
  • Sunday - Thursday
  • Some evenings may be required occasionally.
