Job description

Activities Assistant

We have a full time  opening in our Chestnut Ridge Community. Weekends are a requirement. Tuesday thru Saturday

The Activities Assistant You will help develop and provide engaging social activities for our assisted living residents, ensuring each person is treated with respect and dignity. You should foster a fun, creative, and positive environment. Our residents are valued members of our community with much to share.

Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to :

  • Implement and participate in recreational activities that are scheduled on the monthly activity calendar.

  • Assist in coordinating appropriate entertainment.

  • Attends /assists residents on community outings.

  • Attends/assists in resident special events/holiday outings

  • Leads daily according to the calendar

  • Cleans and straightens up each area after an activity is completed prior to leaving that area

Understands resident's needs for patience, tactile stimulation, sensory stimulation, re-direction and remains calm in all types of situations.
