Activities Assistant | Full-Time | Day Shift | Make a Difference While Having Fun!

Are you creative, outgoing, energetic, and someone who loves making others smile? The Greens at Gastonia is looking for an enthusiastic Activities Assistant to help bring fun, connection, and meaningful experiences to the lives of our residents.

Schedule:

  • Full-Time

  • Primarily Day Shift

  • Evening and Weekend availability required as needed

  • Schedule may vary based on resident activities, events, and celebrations

About the Role:

As an Activities Assistant, you'll help create an engaging and welcoming environment for our residents by:

  • Helping plan and lead fun, meaningful activities and special events

  • Leading games, crafts, music, exercise, social events, and resident celebrations

  • Spending one-on-one time with residents and encouraging participation

  • Bringing new and creative activity ideas to the team

  • Assisting residents to and from activities

  • Helping decorate and prepare for holidays, events, and special occasions

  • Setting up and maintaining activity areas and supplies

  • Adapting activities to meet different physical and cognitive abilities

  • Documenting resident participation as required

  • Working with other departments to create positive experiences for our residents
