Overview

The Activities Assistant will assist in the coordinating, supervising and implementing of the activities in the Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing units. This is a full-time position with a schedule that includes some evenings and weekends. Additional hours may be available as needed.

Shift: Part Time

Responsibilities
  • Implementing a broad activity program to meet resident needs.
  • planning, directing and carrying out a program which covers recreation and educational development
  • Transporting residents to and from outings
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma is required
  • Experience: One to two years' activities assisting is preferred
  • Must possess a caring, compassionate, energetic personality and a desire to provide entertaining and stimulating activities to enhance the quality of life and holistic growth of residents
  • Must be detail oriented and have excellent literacy and writing, documentation, communications and interpersonal abilities
  • Must be willing to drive bus for resident outings
