Job description

Job Title

Functions as a clinical expert and is responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing or supervising direct patient care.

The community possesses a hardworking, well-trained workforce. These characteristics have proved instrumental in drawing new residents and companies to the region, while keeping families here for generations.

Eugene is the 2nd most populous city in Oregon after Portland. Located in Lane County, Eugene is also referred to as the 'Emerald City' and is at the southern end of Willamette Valley, near the confluence of the McKenzie and Willamette rivers. Home to the University of Oregon, Bushnell University, and Lane Community College, Eugene is known for its college culture, focus on the arts, recreational activities, and green activism. The official slogan of Eugene is "A Great City for the Arts and Outdoors."

Functions or Scope of Assigned Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Functions as a clinical expert and is responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing or supervising direct patient care.
  • Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates delivery of care based on age specific components.
  • Assumes responsibility for the coordination of care focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care.
  • Executes position responsibilities that demonstrate leadership, experience, and creative approaches to management of complex client care.
  • Contributes to the development of care delivery models and environmental design, ensuring evidence-based, accessible, affordable, and equitable patient care.
  • Ensures compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.
  • Aligns nursing and clinical objectives with organizational strategic outcomes, participating in strategy planning and execution.
