This position is responsible for leading and executing all human resources functions at the Burnsville, MN site. This role ensures alignment with organizational goals, priorities, and policies while addressing the unique needs of the local workforce. The HR Manager serves as a strategic partner to site leadership and a trusted resource for employees, fostering a positive, compliant, and high-performing work environment. This is a fully onsite position.
Essential Functions
  1. HR Partnership & Leadership Support
    • Act as a trusted advisor to site leadership on all HR- related matters.
    • Work with HR Director to align site HR initiatives with broader organizational goals.
    • Analyze HR metrics and provide actionable insights to improve workforce performance.
  2. HR Operations & Administration
    • Oversee day-to-day HR Operations, including management of the HRIS System.
    • Complete employment verifications, unemployment claims and required documentation.
    • Manage Employee Offboarding, including exit interviews.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable labor laws.
    • Maintain accurate and confidential employee files.
  3. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
    • Lead full-cycle recruitment in partnership with hiring managers.
    • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
    • Coordinate onboarding to support a smooth new hire experience.
    • Serve as the back-up for New Hire Orientation.
    • Support workforce planning and staffing strategies.
  4. Employee Engagement
    • Administer the annual Employee Engagement Survey.
    • Share results with site leadership and employees; facilitate focus groups.
    • Partner with site leadership and HR Director to develop and implement action plans.
    • Collaborate with Social Committee to plan employee events.
  5. Employee Relations
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns.
    • Investigate and resolve employee relations matters fairly and consistently.
    • Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  6. Performance Management
    • Support managers with performance evaluations, goal setting and feedback.
    • Provide guidance on disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans, up to and including termination.
    • Coach leaders on effective people management practices.
  7. Training & Development
    • Identify training needs and coordinate development programs.
    • Facilitate or support leadership and compliance/development training sessions.
    • Encourage continuous learning and career development.
  8. Compensation & Benefits
    • Administer compensation and benefit programs in alignment with company guidelines.
    • Support employees with benefits inquiries and enrollment.
    • Partner with brokers and vendors as needed.
    • Lead annual review cycles, including merit increases and promotions.
  9. Process Improvement and Project Management
    • Recommend HR Process and Policy Improvements.
    • Lead HR projects from planning through execution and reporting.
    • Own or participate in company-wide projects, improvements, or initiatives.
  10. Compliance & Risk Management
    • Ensure compliance on federal, state and local employment laws.
    • Maintain audit readiness and adherence to best practices.
    • Administer FMLA and ADA programs.
    • Partner with site leadership on workplace safety initiatives. Manage OSHA reporting and track safety metrics.
    • Oversee Worker's Compensation reporting and case management.
    • Support compliance with the company's Quality Management System.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have direct reports but is expected to lead through influence across the site. The HR Manager will coach and mentor Leads, Supervisors and Managers on all aspects of the employee lifecycle.

Required Education and Experience
  1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
  2. 5+ years of progressive Human Resources work experience, including generalist or site level support.
  3. Experience supporting HR in a manufacturing work environment.
  4. Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  5. Demonstrated experience management employee relations issues and conducting workplace investigations.
  6. Proven ability to coach and influence leaders at multiple levels of the organization.
  7. Experience managing full-cycle recruiting and onboarding processes.
  8. Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  9. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  10. Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, and communication skills with ability to change style based upon the audience.
  11. Proven ability to build relationships and establish trust across all levels of the organization.
  12. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive matters and confidentiality with professionalism, integrity, and sound judgement.

Preferred Education and Experience
  1. 7+ Years of progressive Human Resources work experience.
  2. Previous ADP HRIS experience.
  3. SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) credential.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary Range: $70,000-$90,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications).
