Job Description:

We are seeking highly motivated engineers with a thirst for learning, in support of a geographically dispersed, state of the art systems that seamlessly integrate Linux and Microsoft services. Candidates with proven depth creating solutions with Microsoft Windows Server will be positioned for success in our organization. The selected candidate will design, build and deploy, and administer large scale multi-domain enterprise Windows Server environments.

Additionally, engineers will build, maintain and migrate a variety of physical and virtual systems to on-premises, cloud, or hybrid infrastructures. Engineers will provide support to multiple globally dispersed WAN connected sites. Embracing the DevOps model, engineers will be responsible for supporting their solutions throughout the entire IT project lifecycle, to include refining requirements, creating design documentation, creating installation instructions and deployment plans, and providing O&M support. Project assignments will vary based on skill level, and may include engineering geographically dispersed services, integrating services into public, private and hybrid cloud environments, engineering solutions to be deployed via automated CM tools, and hardening the solutions to address security and SCAP compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems utilizing both on-premises and cloud-based hosting technologies

  • Analyze requirements and system architectures to develop system requirements specifications and resulting design plans

  • Administer, operate, manage and maintain components for on-premises and cloud-based virtualized systems

  • Reviews completion and implementation of system additions and/or enhancements and makes recommendations to management and/or clients

  • Plans and directs upgrades of Windows Server infrastructure and related components in the area of Active Directory, Domain Controller topology, LDAP,

  • Authentication Services, DNS, Permissions and Access Controls and Group Policy

Required Skills:

  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server Active Directory design and implementation

  • Experience with Group Policy Management

  • Experience with Windows DNS and DHCP

  • Experience with LDAP

  • Experience with Active Directory Federation Services

  • Experience with Active Directory Domains and Trusts

  • Experience with monitoring of Microsoft systems using System Center Operations Manager

  • Experience with Microsoft deployment methodology options to include Microsoft Deployment Toolkit and System Center Configuration Manager

  • Experience with Windows Server 2016, 2019 experience is optimal

  • Experience with Microsoft Identity Manager and/or Forefront Identity Manager experience is optimal

  • Experience with Microsoft Windows automation scripting with PowerShell or other scripting languages

  • Experience building/managing servers in AWS (Amazon Web Services) and Vmware based environment is desired

  • Experience with managing work tasks via tools such as JIRA and ServiceNow

  • System configuration experience and hardening based on security guidelines, such as DISA STIGs

  • CompTIA Security+ or similar for IAT Level II DoD 8570/8140 certification
