Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to design and deliver next-generation data center fabric architectures, leveraging technologies such as VXLAN, Cisco Nexus Dashboard, Kubernetes, and AI/ML-enabled networking.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers, strengthening troubleshooting capabilities, operational rigor, and adoption of network engineering best practices.
  • Drive automation strategy and execution using Ansible, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines, including the design, deployment, and continuous improvement of automation for high-impact operational and reliability use cases.
  • Own and support all operational aspects of network security infrastructure, including operating system maintenance, vulnerability management, capacity planning, lifecycle management, and certificate administration.
  • Track and manage projects, processes, and technology initiatives across the team, ensuring alignment, visibility, and timely execution.
  • Analyze historical network incidents to identify systemic issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement automated remediation to prevent recurrence.
  • Lead the review, analysis, and execution of network change requests within the data center fabric domain, ensuring adherence to change management and risk mitigation standards.
  • Develop and report operational and performance metrics using observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK to drive data-informed decisions.
  • Manage and operate data center fabric services across hybrid and multi-cloud environments, including on-premises infrastructure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Participate in incident response activities, providing technical leadership during outages and leading post-incident root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by enabling team members to proactively enhance processes, tooling, and operational maturity.
  • Lead the introduction of new processes and automation capabilities that improve scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain strong operational focus on data center fabric technologies while coordinating cross-team efforts with network security and load balancing functions to ensure end-to-end service reliability.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven technical expertise in fast-paced, dynamic, production environments supporting mission-critical infrastructure.
  • Extensive hands-on experience and advanced troubleshooting capabilities with data center fabric and software-defined networking (SDN) technologies, including VXLAN, NX-OS, OpenStack Neutron, Calico (Kubernetes), and enterprise routing and switching.
